Westat is an employee-owned corporation providing research services to agencies of the U.S. Government, as well as businesses, foundations, and state and local governments. Westat's research, technical, and administrative staff of more than 2,000 is located at our headquarters in Rockville, Maryland, near Washington, DC.
Westat is seeking a Contracts Administrator to join the fast-paced corporate contracts unit supporting a portfolio of Westat's federally funded contracts. The ideal candidate will support the full life-cycle of contract management activities.
Job Responsibilities:
• Provide day-to-day contractual support for a portfolio of government contracts.
• Prepare, negotiate and review complex contracts including but not limited to Prime Contracts, Subcontracts, NDAs and Teaming Agreements, Consulting and Vendor Agreements.
• Support Westat's vendor and subcontractor management activities and processes.
• Support Westat's pre-award and proposal activities.
• Ensure contractual documents sufficiently meet regulatory obligations and company policies and procedures.
• Perform risk assessments to identify contract and financial risks.
• Maintain contractual data and documents in Westat's systems.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Contracts, Legal Studies or related field.
• 7 years of work experience, with a minimum of 5 years of federal contract administration experience.
• Knowledge of the FAR regulations.
• Experience working with federal civilian agency contracts.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's Degree in a Contracts related field
• Experience with the Department of Health and Human Services office and centers: NIH, CDC, CMS
• Experiencing working on major federal GWACs and GSA contracts
• Experience with SharePoint and Deltek products
