Responsibilities

  • You will provide management, operation, and execution of maintenance and repair to real property, in support of mission requirements.
  • You will maintain, repair, and construct rigid pavements or similar cement and concrete surfaces.
  • You will maintain, repair, and construct flexible roads, pavements, parking areas, airdromes, bike paths, or similar surfaces of sketches.
  • You will utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • You will use and maintain tools and equipment. Use screeds, hand and power tools, floats, edgers, abrasives, and other cement finishing tools.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to perform common tasks including 1) Maintaining and repairing rigid and flexible pavements, roads, and runways 2) Planning and laying out work from blueprints, rough sketches and work orders 3) Removing concrete using buggies, wheelbarrows, or shovels . I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
