MV+A is a diverse group of architects, designers and planners, bringing our collective experience to develop meaningful solutions to our clients. We are actively searching for an experienced Senior Architectural Designer/Planner to join our team. As a Senior Architectural Designer/Planner, you will be a key member in the design and development of our retail and mixed-use building projects. You will work closely with the Project Manager and consultant design team to take projects from the concept design phase through construction. Your initiative, technical abilities, and collaborative attitude will be integral in the successful delivery of some of the firm’s most important projects.

Job Duties

  • Prepare urban design and planning studies for mixed-use environments
  • Manage specific aspects of a design project, including coordination with design and engineering consultants, and coordination and communication with internal team members as well as clients
  • Prepare presentation materials in two and three dimensional format as well as virtual reality platforms
  • Resolve complex aesthetic and technical challenges to produce efficient, constructible solutions
  • Prepare construction documents, including schematic design and design development
  • Assist with construction administration, managing RFI and submittal reviews
  • Actively participate in client and design team meetings
  • Provide leasing assistance through preparation of tenant layout studies and BOMA analysis for office, mixed-use, and retail projects

Your Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Urban Planning or Architecture
  • Two years’ experience as an Architectural Designer or in a related field
  • Experience must include:
    • AutoCAD
    • Modeling programs such as Revit, Sketchup
    • Rendering programs such as Lumion, Enscape
    • Bluebeam studio
    • Smartsheet software
    • Photoshop, InDesign software
