This position for The Defense Information Systems Agency is at Fort Meade, Maryland.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in various acquisition activities needed to improve the program's environment.
  • Perform a broad range of program analysis functions to include, planning administration, execution of programs/projects.
  • Develop, analyze, execute, and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the operations portion of the property accountability program.
  • Plan and coordinate the execution of purchase orders for equipment supplies, and services for administrative purposes ensuring effective and efficient use of funds.
  • The work of the position may require some physical handling of computer equipment and some physical exertion such as walking, standing, stooping, stretching, reaching, bending, or similar activities.

Qualifications

Time-in-Grade Requirements:

For entry at the GS-09 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-07 or higher grade in the Federal Service.
For entry at the GS-11 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-09 or higher grade in the Federal Service.
For entry at the GS-12 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in the Federal Service.

Specialized Experience:

For the GS-09, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-07 if outside the Federal service, is required.

Specialized experience is defined as experience conducting and analyzing program studies and/or research projects and experience assisting with advisory services to various levels of management on organizational program procedures by preparing reports, charts or graphs on findings and recommendations.

For the GS-11, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-09 if outside the Federal service, is required.

Specialized experience is defined as experience conducting and analyzing studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations, management projects, acquisition processes and/or acquisition budgets; and based on analysis, experience preparing and presenting reports and briefings regarding recommendations to resolve identified problems.

For the GS-12, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-11 if outside the Federal service, is required.

Specialized experience is defined as experience conducting and analyzing studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations, management projects, acquisition processes and/or acquisition budgets; experience conducting and evaluating cost, budget and contract analysis; and experience executing and implementing recommendations to improve organizational direction.

Candidates must describe how their experience meets the specialized experience requirement within the body of their resume.

In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position. SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

For the GS-09 Position, you may substitute education for specialized experience: You must have completed two full years of progressively higher level graduate education, Master's or equivalent graduate degree. (You MUST submit transcripts to verify your claim).

For the GS-11 Position, you may substitute education for specialized experience: You must have completed at least three full years of progressively higher level graduate education or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. (You MUST submit transcripts to verify your claim).

For the GS-12 Position: there is no substitution for experience at this grade level.

Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications. Therefore, provide only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education .

Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services at the time of application.
