Intralox, L.L.C. is hiring a Quality Specialist for the Equipment R&D Group in Hanover, MD. This individual will focus on supporting the development of new conveyance solutions using our Activated Roller Belt (ARB) technology. Intralox's ARB technology is revolutionizing the material handling business by providing unique capabilities to effectively handle a wide range of products and industries. As a Quality Specialist in our R&D department you will, lead the investigation into non-conformance issues, support the effort of qualifying new vendors through inspection of parts and audits, and make recommendations to designs or drawings to ensure part conformity. This position will report to the Equipment R&D Engineering Manager.

  • Performs required Quality measurements, inspections, and audits to support the qualification of new vendors.
  • Leads the root cause analysis and documentation of Non-Conformances and ensures containment of product.
  • Supports Quality investigations. Provides accurate, timely data collection.
  • Coordinates with vendors on non-conformances.
  • Proficiency in interpreting quality control drawings, quality specifications.
  • Assists the Quality Team with investigations and data collection.
  • Supports audits and Continuous Improvement efforts.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a self-managed team environment.
  • Ability to read drawings and tolerancing.
  • Ability to work and read precision tools including, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, feeler gauges, gauge pins, gauge blocks, and other measurement tools.
  • Ability to create setups to obtain proper measurements.
  • Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 standards.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Work overtime as required, including weekends.
  • Travel up to 10% of time to vendors or customer sites.
Desired Qualifications:
  • ASQ certifications.
  • Previous quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good visual acuity.
  • Familiarity with handheld CMMs.
  • Knowledge of working in 3D CAD (Inventor preferred.)
  • Knowledge of working in a PLM (Windchill preferred.)
