Senior Business Director

About the Role:

With over $3B in revenue, Capital One's Commercial Banking Group services a $60B loan portfolio and a $40B deposit portfolio for more than 6,100 clients. As an aggressively growing business, they have been on a technology journey which continues today anchored by an overarching objective to become a leader in business to business payments.

Treasury management is a $500M P&L with 30%+ ROE providing payables, receivables, and liquidity products used by Capital One's Commercial and Small business clients. We are building out state of the art Treasury management/ Payment capabilities. As part of the newly approved strategy we received more than $100M of funding for new/improved products. We are building out a new team (3-4 people) which owns the product intent and pricing for all TM products. As the leader of this team your main roles will be to assess our current TM product portfolio, identify gaps, customer use cases and needs, identify needs of target customer segments, develop revenue forecasts and partner with the more technical teams to determine which changes and innovations we should focus on. In addition you will own the pricing for all PxV products for existing and new customers and are required to drive both product adoption and profitability.

As part of the role it will be required to work closely with Sales, Customers, Strategy, Corp Dev, Product design, Partnerships and the infrastructure teams. Over time you will likely be less focused on internal gaps and more on market trends and innovation. Lastly, some of our underlying infrastructure will need to be updated soon. You will collaborate with key teams to build the business case and set the infrastructure agenda for the next decade.

In this role, you will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in four key areas:

    • You'll lead a team that translates vision into strategic product roadmaps with an agile delivery approach in partnership with Tech while managing cyber, operational and/or regulatory risks
  • Technology Driven
    • You'll partner with Technology leaders to influence end-state architecture and drive secure, resilient, performant and scalable technology solutions that solve material customer and business problems
    • You'll be responsible to make technology investments decision by assessing opportunities for reusing Enterprise solutions or for and building new ones with extensibility & enterprise scalability in mind
  • Transformational Leadership
    • You'll influence a broad set of senior executives across the enterprise and your organization who are stakeholders or delivery partner to successfully deliver on your portfolio/product vision
    • You'll establish a long-term product portfolio strategy, informed by customer and business needs, to gain alignment, secure resources and overcome impediments
    • You'll attract, grow, empower, and inspire top product talent as they develop and deliver on their local product strategy

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 7 years of experience in analysis

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree
- 2+years of experience in financial services
- 1+ year of experience in consulting
- 3+ years of experience in people management
