Our Talent Development Team is seeking experienced talent development professionals as we grow to support additional consumer lending and call center focused learning solutions. Successful candidates for our Training Specialist position excel at analyzing learner needs, designing and developing blended learning solutions, and measuring learning effectiveness. They possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with experience developing and delivering engaging process/technical training and professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating participant-centered learning solutions for Northwest Federal products and services for new and existing employees.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and SMEs to ensure learning solutions are aligned to business goals and performance needs
  • Provide updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
  • Gain subject expertise of system and business processes through independent research and partnership with others
  • Translate needs analysis and functional specifications into clear and concise course designs
  • Design content, including measurable learning objectives, leaders and participant materials and tools, experiential scenarios and simulations, and assessment and evaluation questions
  • Develop and maintain curriculum, programs, learning materials, and performance support tools based on instructional design standards and adult learning principles in conjunction with current learning trends
  • Manage preparation of training materials, resources, and course content from conception through production stages
  • Deliver in-person and virtual instructor-led training to new hires and existing employees on role-specific processes, procedures, and soft skills
  • Plan, coordinate, manage, and deliver in-person and virtual instructor-led training to new and existing employees on role specific processes, procedures, soft skill training programs; may also include ad hoc training
  • Facilitate training by encouraging participation, building learner motivation, establishing credibility as an instructor, delivering constructive feedback, creating a positive learning climate, and ensuring learning outcomes
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning solutions and provide feedback to management and leadership
  • Increase the effectiveness of learning solutions by identifying and recommending format/modalities that create an optimal learning experience
  • Partner cross-functionally to quickly resolve urgent matters and escalations, removing barriers for learners
  • Assist team members by identifying issues, diagnosing problems, generating alternative solutions and analyzing opportunities and risks
  • Maintain knowledge of current and emerging talent development industry trends and technology
  • Participate in meetings, projects, and teams as well as perform other duties as assigned
  • Remains cognizant of and adheres to NWFCU policies and procedures as well as regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)


Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor\u2019s degree in Education, HR, or related field, or a combination of relevant education and training experience
  • Experience designing, developing, and delivering learning solutions for individuals or groups
  • Familiarity with talent development theories, processes, and models
  • Effective organizational awareness, communication, and project management skills
  • Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences
  • Proficiency in MS Office and in database software

Preferred:
  • Three years of progressive experience in training related positions
  • Previous Credit Union/Finance Institution experience, specifically with consumer and indirect lending regulations and processes
  • Previous call center management or training experience
  • Extensive knowledge of instructional design models, adult learning principles, and evaluations methods
  • Experience with tools such as Articulate, Camtasia, and Vyond
