Principal Associate - Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging Learning Experience Designer

We're looking for a Learning Experience Designer with strong visual communications and design skills to join our Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DIB) Learning & Development team as we generate holistic and connected learning experiences for Capital One at large. Ultimately, what our team designs and delivers will contribute to a culture of belonging and connection where everyone can thrive.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Produce high quality, scalable human-centered learning experiences for Capital One associates that can be measured against behavioral changes in employees' performance skill and the business' performance
  • Collaborate with learning consultants, subject matter experts, and learning team members across all lines of business on holistic and specific training needs, design recommendations, and delivery expectations
  • Produce visual communications to clarify and align on the learning experience e.g. journey and experience maps, service blueprint, interaction models, etc
  • Manage and design/build DIB learning projects and initiatives from start to finish, while providing regular progress updates to team leaders and stakeholders
  • Manage and coordinate a process that includes obtaining content , receiving consistent input and learning experience review sessions from clients and subject matter experts
  • Design content, including (but not limited to) measurable learning objectives, facilitator and participant materials and tools, experiential scenarios (case studies) and simulations, assessment and evaluation questions- -
  • Utilize adult development and adult learning theory and design for the learner at the center of a connected, holistic experience
  • Develop online learning solutions which blend creativity, storytelling and engagement , with instructional integrity
  • Add or edit multimedia assets to content, including: images, audio and video clips, animation and other graphical content
  • Update existing curricular and stand-alone learning experiences to ensure relevance, relatedness , branding , effectiveness, and measurability
  • Collaborate and consult with other teams, peers, or contract resources to support material development needs, when applicable


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in corporate learning curriculum design
  • At least 3 years of experience with learning content development tools, (Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Design Suite, OR Camtasia)


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Training Design, Experience Design, Service Design or Design Strategy
  • Experience with adult development and adult learning theory
  • At least 4 years of experience in learning curriculum design with a focus on diversity, inclusion and belonging
  • At least 2 years of experience in business consulting
  • At least 4 years of experience in training design using multiple delivery methods (classroom, virtual classroom, eLearning, videos, micro-learning, animation, interactive design )
