Responsible Conduct of Research
  • Ensures compliance with standards for the responsible conduct of research
  • Plans, conducts, and manages research projects within the federal and institutional regulations and policies under the direction of the principal investigator
  • Responsible for appropriate use of research funds and resources
Management of Business Office
  • S/he is responsible for training and development of their assigned GFAs,
  • Acts as a liaison between Grants and Finance administrators and faculty when necessary
  • Ensures that faculty at all levels are meeting grant and contract policies and that grant administrative deliverables are accomplished in a timely and accurate way.
Development of Policies
  • Identifies and implements processes to improve daily operations
  • Develops policies guided by code of federal regulations
  • Creates internal guidelines to enhance compliance with Children's National and sponsor regulations
Budget and Finance Management
  • Manages the center's finances
  • Identifies faculty with financial difficulties and provides recommendations to leadership
  • Ensures that monthly financial information is provided to faculty

  • Represent the team in clearing obstacles to high performance
  • Hire staff and develop their capabilities
