Plan and execute a variety of design projects from conceptualization to completion in support of marketing and communications initiatives. Lead responsibility for development and stewardship of printed and electronic communications, including logos, brochures, print ads, flyers, mailers, large-format graphics (posters, banners, exhibits, etc.) and HTML graphics using graphic design software.

Qualifications

Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree

Specific Requirements and Preferences
Graphic design, interaction design, instructional technology or similar degree or equivalent work experience. MFA is desired, but not required (Required)

Minimum Work Experience
5 years

Specific Requirements and Preferences
Five years, ideally, including experience working in an agency environment with a variety of clients. Candidates will need to present samples of recent work. Previous experience as a graphic designer developing vector graphics. .

Required Skills/Knowledge
Advanced MAC-based InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop skills required
Strong knowledge of electronic format needs for printing and production
Basic HTML and knowledge of web design principles
Good organization skills and ability to manage multiple projects
Familiarity with specialied needs, such as large format design specifications, typography use.

Functional Accountabilities

Brand Management
1. Develop collateral and signage designs in accordance with Brand guidelines
2. Work with Marketing team and outside consultants to define brand guidelines and style books
3. Uphold quality standards of the brand

Print Design
1. Working with marketing and communications leaders, conceptualize and design a variety of materials including advertising, flyers, brochures, postcards, banners, posters and other projects as requested.
2. Translate strategic direction into compelling and on-brand visual communications. Understands how to partner with writers to ensure the message is presented in an integrated manner.

Production Management
1. Working with brand, marketing and communication teams, manage production vendors and ensure quality standards are met.
2. Ensure that all images are properly released, and necessary approvals/permissions for use are in place
3. Develop and manage timelines and budgets, work collaboratively to ensure that they are met.

Digital Design
1. Develop and design email templates and newsletters to support marketing efforts including B2B messaging, consumer focused messaging, event related collateral and other items as needed

Asset Management
1. Responsible for the oversight of asset management, including uploading files with appropriate taxonomy and key word data
2. Develop system to maintain organized storage of art files for recurring jobs to ensure efficient updates
