The Deposit Ops. Specialist I provides support to the branches, members and other teammates on problem resolution for all deposit products and functions. It is critical for the candidate to have a willingness to understand the operational impact of the Credit Union products and services as well as assist in designing and implementing new deposit support processes. Under the direction of the Deposit Operations Team Lead, the person in this position is responsible for accurately posting, balancing, and account maintenance functions according to established policies and operating procedures. Other responsibilities include researching, preparing and processing appropriate documentation for subpoenas, and servicing inactive and dormant accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support and build a strong partnership with all credit union departments.
  • Maintain confidentiality of member account information.
  • Ensure compliance with audit and regulatory procedures and adherence to departmental guidelines.
  • Maintain current knowledge of all Credit Union products and services.
  • Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
  • Follow established policies and procedures when responding to inquiries and requests
  • Process adjustment vouchers
  • Perform address updates in the core system
  • Complete returned mail processing-Updating mail codes and charging fees to the account
  • Monitor and analyze various reports and make account adjustments as necessary
  • Process check withdrawals for share and loan accounts
  • Perform all non-subpoena research
  • Balance branch bundles and complete tracking spreadsheets
  • Bring in RDC Files from Vendor and process adjustments as needed.
  • Cancel subscribers in Online Banking
  • Process shared Branching Adjustments
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations and all related Credit Union policies and procedures.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year credit union/banking experience required or experience in a similar role.
  • Basic knowledge of computer software, including: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, DNA, Fiserv, and Federal Reserve Bank software
