Senior Manager, Project Management, Commercial Strategy & Transformation - NYC, NY / McLean, VA / Richmond, VA

Senior Managers on the Commercial Strategy & Transformation team focus on translating the Commercial Bank's top initiatives from strategy into transformation. They lead programs that are outsized in nature and are typically cross-functional, spanning across multiple lines business and horizontal teams. Associates need to demonstrate independence in solving complex problems and be seen as trusted advisors who help influence strategy development and execution. The associates will conduct and coordinate analysis that supports the development and execution of corporate or business strategy. They regularly integrate and influence multiple workstreams and are seen as strong Program Leads by our business and strategy partners in developing and delivering large scale initiatives. Associates will be expected to distill big picture intent, articulate the strategy into tactical requirements and implementation plans, and communicate results to senior leadership.

Responsibilities:
  • Consult with business partners (Corporate Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Underwriting, Capital Markets, Treasury Management, Risk and Operations) to understand complex problems and focus on bringing issues to resolution, influencing, and escalating as necessary to meet timelines. Includes clarifying and defining transformation requirements/scope for cross-functional problems.
  • Conduct independent research and analysis to solve ambiguous problems. Work with transformation teams to develop recommendations to clients (e.g., senior management and/or executives) enabling them to make key business decisions.
  • Own high impact transformation initiatives and contribute to the overall outcomes, definition, scope, design, and delivery.
  • Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously using strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Distill big picture intent into tactical requirements and implementation plans.
  • Create and deliver presentations to senior management. Guide and influence senior management discussions and decisions.
  • Create overarching roadmaps, communication and change management plans.
  • Responsible for day-to-day delivery aspects of the initiative; defining program scope, establishing success metrics, tracking key decisions, documenting issues and risks, and establishing accountabilities.
  • Responsible for timely completion of all deliverables and initiative intent
  • Develop expertise in departmental processes and procedures through participation in change initiatives and a willingness to learn.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
  • At least 3 years of leading large transformation initiatives
  • At least 1 year of People Management experience


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree or MBA
  • At least 5 years of experience leading large scale and complex transformations
  • At least 2 years of People Management experience
  • At least 3 years of Corporate Strategy Consulting experience
  • At least 3 years of Financial services or banking industry experience
  • Agile, PMP, Change Management, Lean, and Six Sigma certifications
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
  • Excellent problem solving and influencing skills
  • Executive communications and presentations
