Williams & Connolly LLP is currently seeking a Safety and Security Program Manager.  Under the direction of the Director of Facilities and Operations, the Program Manager will coordinate daily safety, security and administrative projects.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting security assessments of all Williams & Connolly LLP facilities to identify and resolve security-related issues;
  • Initiating and participating in policies, programs and procedures relating to safety and security;
  • Managing access systems in all buildings, including office door keys;
  • Working with security system vendors to resolve system issues;
  • Acting as the liaison between Williams & Connolly LLP and the Property Management Office in all buildings to resolve security and safety matters;
  • Coordinating and updating emergency response plans and procedures;
  • Maintaining parking assignments;
  • Organizing vendor-hosted security and safety seminars;
  • Conducting investigations into security incidents;
  • Working with the IT security team to coordinate the physical portion of the annual ISO certification;
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on the physical security portion of client proposals;
  • Preparing annual security budget;
  • Providing security orientation and training for new employees;
  • Monitoring traffic and weather conditions and sending updates to the Firm;
  • Serving as the Firm’s after-hour contact to provide approval for access to the building;
  • Organizing and maintaining the building’s floor warden program.

In preparation for and after the Firm’s move to a new location in 2022, the Safety and Security Program Manager’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Updating the Safety and Security Instruction Manual;
  • Updating the Fire Prevention Plan;
  • Updating the Business Contingency and Disaster Recovery Manual
  • Updating the Firm’s Emergency Guide;
  • Creating the Kastle System Operational Manual;
  • Conducting a risk assessment for the building.

Successful candidate will be a self-starter and have the right balance of security-related and project management/administrative experience, excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills, possess maturity of judgment, resourcefulness, and the ability to resolve and mediate problems in a timely and effective manner.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel required.  Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of security-related experience required.  Knowledge of the Kastle Security System is a plus.  Must be able to work extended hours when necessary.
