Prominent law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to assist our Maryland personal injury practice in our Silver Spring location. In addition to the requisite experience, the ideal candidate will be incredibly organized, be able to prioritize tasks and consistently meet deadlines, and possess proven client service skills. Responsibilities: Drafts legal documents including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and discovery requests and responses. Files motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures. Conducts research (within skills and expertise) to assist with projects or inquiries. Interviews clients and witnesses and prepares summaries of their statements. Prepares, organizes, stores, and retrieves case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items. Assists attorney with trial preparation, which may include attending trials and hearings. Meets with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects. Receives incoming communication or memos, reviews contents, determines importance, and summarizes and/or distributes contents to attorney. Collects requested data and information from various sources including email and other correspondence, meeting minutes and records, and other documents; prepares summaries of findings and/or other related written correspondence as requested. Communicate with clients when necessary to gather information and facilitate a positive working relationship.
