How this role contributes to the Y's mission: As a Program Director for the Before & After School Enrichment Program, you will be responsible for providing cause-driven leadership, direction, development and supervision of multiple sites within a designated regional area. You will utilize your skills in hiring, staffing, scheduling, quality execution, budget management, relationship management and programming. You will ensure Maryland State Department of Education requirements are met. You'll be responsible for hiring and developing site leaders and associate teams to deliver successful programming. You will lead relationships with school and local contacts and will manage a budget. As a Program Director with the Before and After School Enrichment Program, you'll contribute to the Y movement by providing enrichment activities to youth and peace of mind to their parents and guardians by knowing their children are safe while they are at work. This work is right for you if you have: An interest in the well-being of school age children, enthusiasm, patience, good humor, good judgment and a good spirit The ability to clearly communicate and effectively listen to children parents/guardians, members, school administration and other Y associates A Bachelor's Degree or 5 years of direct supervisory experience in a multi-site setting A minimum of 3 years' supervisory experience in a licensed child care environment Prior experience operating aY youth development program, aY licensed school age program or as aY Program Director (preferred) Proven experience creating and developing highly accountable teams Thank you for considering working for the Y in Central Maryland.
