Responsible for the security and continuous operation of all IT hardware, software, networks, and phone system.  Manages staff and consultants to ensure proper operation and use of the iSeries, VMware, Accela, O365, and many other systems used throughout the City.  

Has a security-first mindset that ensures uninterrupted delivery of critical services to staff and residents. Evaluates performance of current systems and recommend changes that will improve the City’s system security, quality of services, and efficiency.  Develops and implements strategic plan objectives for the City’s IT system and innovative uses of technology to serve the City’s needs. Coordinates information exchange across departments and drives digital transformation initiatives. Identifies and implements staff training, including end-user cybersecurity awareness and application proficiency training.

Qualified candidates have at least 6 years experience in computer systems administration, troubleshooting and customer service, budgeting, and vendor/consultant management. Favorable candidates have excellent business writing and communications skills and a solution-oriented, customer service approach.

A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, computer engineering or closely related field is required.  Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Project Management Professional (PMP) or Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) are a definite plus.

Anticipated salary range is $84,823 - $105,000. Starting salary DOQ. Excellent benefits.  Please apply on our website at
