Responsibilities:
  • As part of the Intralox Baltimore Operations Team, the Materials Manager will be responsible for logistics in our Engineer-to-Order (ETO) Manufacturing Lane, focused on delivering a wide variety of our patented Activated Roller Belt (ARB) Conveyors to customers across North America.
  • Lead a Materials Management Team with the goal of providing On-Time, Accurate, and Complete deliverables to Operations Production and ultimately to our OEM & End User Industrial, Food & Beverage, and E-Commerce Customers.
  • Recommend solutions to existing processes & develop new systems to reduce waste and improve parts flow.
  • Manage the distribution of supplies in the organization.
  • Monitor inventory levels and streamline parts distribution.
  • Ensure the highest levels of Inventory Accuracy and personal accountability.
  • Always prioritize SAFETY.
  • Responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all Materials Management deliverables.
  • Maintain continuous accountability of people, equipment, and tools.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills, teamwork, and leadership to overcome obstacles.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, introspection, and resilience.
  • Conduct regular planning for capacity and resource allocation.
  • Evaluate work performance by conducting performance reviews. Identify skills and knowledge gaps in team members and then coaches them to close those gaps.
  • Work collaboratively with Supervisors, Leads, and other Managers to increase productivity and ensure quality.
  • Lead operational, safety, and equipment training for team members.
  • Communicate updates to stakeholders and other departments as needed.
  • Manage floor-level day-to-day staff including setting staffing schedules and performance management responsibilities (hiring/firing.)
Position Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, Production Management, Supply Chain, or commensurate experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in materials management, manufacturing, or distribution management, including direct management of staff is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Ability to devise and implement processes.
  • Ability to proactively demonstrate sound judgement and safety management practices.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive attitude. Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work overtime, flexible schedules, and weekends as required.
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time and lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Previous experience organizing a warehouse sequencing center.
  • Previous experience with Lean/5S concepts.
  • Previous experience with an ORACLE operating system (MRP).
  • Ability to take the team to the next level of efficacy, particularly regarding next-generation ERP/WMS platforms.
  • Intralox equipment/product knowledge.
