Position Title: Human Resources Assistant Location: Alexandria, Virginia Department: Human Resources Reports to: Manager, Human Resources Industry: Law Firm Status: Full Time, Direct Hire (This is not a remote position) Jones Networking is recruiting for an HR Assistant with a Law Firm in Alexandria, VA. HR Assistant Position Summary: -Assist with recruiting; schedule interviews, greet candidates, introduce to hiring manager and create offer letters. -Perform on-boarding procedures to include processing background checks, preparing and distributing new hire information and creating personnel files. -Assist with off-boarding procedures to include updating employee records and preparing employee discharge information. -Participate in benefits administration to include preparing and distributing communications to eligible employees, enrolling new employees, updating changes throughout the year, terminating enrollment for departing employees, and notifying accounting of any enrollment changes. -Assist with coordinating the review process for both support staff and attorneys by updating review charts, preparing and distributing communications for professional staff reviews, and following up with attorneys regarding completion of staff reviews. -Assist with coordinating Human Resources events. Qualifications Summary: -Minimum one year relative experience in a Human Resources Department or as a Recruiter for a Staffing Agency. -Bachelor's Degree in relative field preferred. -Recruiting experience is required. -Experience and knowledge of on-boarding and off-boarding employees preferred. -Benefits administration is a plus. -Proficiency in MS Excel and Word; Experience with an HRIS desired. -Strong attention to detail with excellent proofreading skills.
