About the Position: The primary role of the Associate Registrar is to: ensure the accuracy of student records and information provided by the office in response to inquiries and other requests for information; preserve the confidentiality of all student records and exam/grade related material; provide outstanding customer service to students, faculty, and staff regarding course, registration, exam, and records matters; and support faculty and staff on academic planning and initiatives.

Systems used in this position include Microsoft Excel, PatriotWeb and Ellucian Banner.

Responsibilities: * Coordinate with faculty and staff on class schedules and registration; * Arrange and administer law school exams; * Oversee the recording of final grades and class standings; * Certify students for graduation and bar examinations and respond to other record verification requests; * Analyze and prepare enrollment, grading, and bar reports for staff, faculty, and outside entities (for example, the ABA, LSDAS, and SCHEV); * Ensure the accuracy of student records and data and other information provided in response to inquiries and other requests for information; * Counsel students on academic records and planning questions; * Assist students with transfer, visiting or accommodation matters; * Coordinate as appropriate with other University offices, including Registrar's Office, Student Accounts, Financial Aid; * Manage law school Records office and Records office staff (including temporary/ seasonal employees); * Serve as a nonvoting member on several academic faculty committee.

Required Qualifications: * Master's degree or a J.D.; * Demonstrated attention to detail; * Comfort working with numbers and basic mathematical calculations; * An ability to assess data and situations critically.

Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in law school administration, or college or university level registrar's office; * Strong customer service, data collection and assessment skills; * Computer skills (especially familiarity with Excel, PatriotWeb, and Banner.
