Squire Patton Boggs (US) LLP, a global law firm, is currently seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Intellectual Property & Technology Litigation Associate to be based in Cleveland, Ohio; Northern California; or Washington DC. Candidates with a minimum of two years of experience and an undergraduate STEM degree or equivalent STEM background will be considered. A' Responsibilities Collaborating with a team of IP litigators to prepare cases for trial, including those involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. Performing legal research, drafting motions and motions, drafting written discovery requests and responses, interviewing and deposing witnesses, working with experts, appearing in court, assisting with case strategy and management, and communicating with clients about their IP litigation matters. A' Academic and Professional Qualifications JD and admitted to at least one state's bar Undergraduate STEM degree or equivalent STEM background At least two (2) years of patent litigation experience Admission to USPTO preferred A' Qualities, Knowledge, Skills & Experience Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting Strong legal writing skills are essential Excellent communication skills are essential, both written and oral Consistently excellent judgment is essential Must be a self-starter, have the ability to prioritize workload, and work well under pressure Having strong analytical skills is essential Experience and skill in analyzing patents is essential Patent prosecution experience is preferred, but not required Must me capable of handling routine tasks with limited oversight Deposition and courtroom experience is preferred, though not required Potential to develop strong stand-up skills is essential A' How to Apply Please apply online to be considered for this position.
