We've been rapidly growing for the past several years and we're now on the hunt for talented, enthusiastic team members to join us in Baltimore.We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor who is excited about building an amazing team of people for our newest distribution center. You will be responsible for leading the day to day operations of the warehouse. You are a solution-oriented individual striving to build a high-performance team, while promoting a safe and productive workplace. You will significantly impact the Article business by:Setting expectations and providing support to the warehouse team so the distribution center runs smoothlyTraining, coaching, and developing the warehouse associates and leadsWhat You'll DoLeading a team of employees including leads and associates. This includes hiring, communicating expectations, coaching and developing. You will also support with performance management and terminations as necessary.Following safe work procedures and ensure team works safely at all timesDetermining staffing levels and assigning workloadIdentifying areas of improvement and establishing innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practicesInterface with other departments to execute on new initiatives and issue resolution.Investigate, report, and act on safety or customer service issues occurring in your warehouse.Monitor hours worked, overtime, and ensure accurate submission of payroll.Ensure employee compliance with Article policies and regulations.Developing future leaders on the team to support our growth - you are always sharing your knowledge with the rest of the teamEmbodying and demonstrating Article's values and principles in all decision-making and actionsCoordinating activities with other departmentsMaintaining accurate inventory through organization and effective processesWorking with dispatch to coordinate and communicate outbound orders to be picked and loadedSelecting proper container, methods of packing, cushioning and packing proceduresPreparing shipping documents for TL, LTL, and FedEx shipmentsMaintaining good housekeeping in work areasWorking alongside associates to unload trucks, process returns, pick orders, and get the job doneThis is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. We are looking for individuals with flexible schedules, including weekends.Skills Knowledge and ExpertiseProven work experience as a warehouse supervisorStrong PC skills including warehouse software packages and MS/Google suite proficiencyA team player who is willing to pitch in and help get the job doneResourceful, flexible and enjoys working in a dynamic environmentProven ability to direct and coordinate operationsAbility to work independently and have sense of ownershipStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent communication skills in English (Spanish is a plus)Strong interpersonal skillsAble to input, retrieve, and analyze dataPhysically fit to stand to get work done and able to lift up to 50lbsReliable method(s) of transportationDegree in logistics, supply chain management, or business is an asset but not requiredWillingness to relocate to support our growth is an assetBenefitsWe want Article to be an amazing place to work, and we do our part to take care of our team.
