Responsibilities: The Apprentice Machine Technician will perform service, corrective maintenance, and routine preventive maintenance on a variety of electro-mechanical card and mail processing equipment. Train with maintenance technician team to learn the correct process in which to service machines and support production needs.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Deliver high quality preventative and emergency maintenance services on various types of equipment.Diagnose and understand equipment problemsAssist technicians in the repair/rebuild of mechanical modules and assemblies.Assist technicians in the corrective maintenance and repair of the machinery.Adhere to the procedures outlines in the Technical Support Maintenance Procedures.Communicate pertinent information to the Technical Services Manager, Technicians, and Production Staff.Work with a high degree of autonomy with the ability to test, diagnose and resolve issuesUtilize MP2 platform in use by Idemia to maintain proper inventory levels, resolve issues,and provide customer support by following established processes for service activity reporting and call management.Be consistently reliable and timely in all aspects of the position, and display a positive attitude.Develop competency in required applications to confidently use diverse software and systems required by the operationCommitted to continuously improve by sharing ideas, problem resolution successes, and suggestions on process improvementEnsure a safe environment is present during equipment repair/maintenanceAdhere to ISO 9000 specifications and requirements. Qualifications: Proficient problem solving and troubleshooting skillsMust possess a strong mechanical aptitudeMust be able to take direction well and follow training plansMust possess good communication skills.Ability to work well independently or as a team.Proficient with PCs, current operating systems and relevant software applicationsWillingness and ability to work flexible hours/shifts.Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbsOvertime is required as neededMust be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US (dual citizenship not permitted):REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Must have a high school diploma and/or GED1-2 years work experience working on mechanical devices, or in a manufacturing environment.
