This individualreportsto theDirector of Food Services andis responsible for preparing andsupervising the campus food preparation and serving. This further includes performing specialized tasks in food production and supervising productive kitchen operations. Responsibilities: Knowledge of quantity food production, standard sanitation and safety practices and procedures related to the preparation, serving and transporting of foodUtilizing and supervising the use of commercial food service equipmentUse the computer to communicate with sites, access information and place ordersEstimate quantities needed and to order correct amounts for economical food serviceAssist in requisitioning, receiving, and storing foods and suppliesPrepare, cook and bake a wide variety of food in large quantitiesLift moderately heavy items and stand for sustained periods of timeSupervise the operation of kitchenMaintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of workMaintain proper care of equipment andensure thesanitation of the kitchenAssist in inventory and maintaining records Qualifications: High school diploma or GEDTwo years of experience in the preparation and serving of large quantities of food, including the preparation of salads and baked goods, or any combination of training and experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities.Hold and maintain current Food Handlers Certification.Ability to effective communicate with staff and maintain and productive work environmentAbility to implement directives given by the Director of Food ServicesFPCSs policy is to provide equal employment opportunity to all qualified applicants and employees regardless of their race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, genetic information, veteran status, status as a special disabled veteran, or any other protected criteria as established by federal, state, or local laws.
