Overview: McGuireWoods LLP has an opening for an Attorney Recruiting Manager. The selected candidate can work in any one of the following McGuireWoods locations: Los Angeles (Century City or Downtown), San Francisco, Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, or Washington DC. The manager is responsible for all aspects of attorney hiring and the summer program including developing and implementing recruiting strategies, coordinating on-campus interviews, screening candidates, and scheduling interviews. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years recruiting in a law firm or professional services environment with management experience.McGuireWoods LLP is a major US law firm with offices in the United States and Europe. Responsibilities: Manage the attorney recruitment for assigned offices including the on-campus interview process, Summer Associate program and lateral hiringAssess attorney needs, consulting with department heads and obtaining necessary management approval to effectively recruit and meet department/firm needsDraft and post attorney job postings and advertisements to aid in the recruiting processReview resumes, transcripts and writing samples in order to select the most qualified candidatesCoordinate all phases of the lateral attorney interview process, including the initial screening and interviewsOrganize the on campus interview process with law schools and job fairs annuallyManage and coordinate the Summer Associate ProgramAssist in preparation and monitoring of attorney recruiting and summer associate budget Qualifications: Requires a minimum of five years law firm recruiting experienceBachelors degree preferredMust be able to multi-task in a deadline driven environment and to manage large projects while maintaining attention to detailRequires the ability to accurately assess client needs and select the most qualified candidates based on that assessmentMust have strong prioritization and organizational skills, effective communication skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with all levels of firm personnelAble to handle pressure situations while maintaining professionalismSubstantial amount of travel required to visit various law schools and assigned officesHave more questions?
