Job DescriptionJob Description: The Operations Manager is a critical leader at the market level. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations at his/her location(s) with an emphasis on process's, audits, training and compliance. The Operations Manager will be required to fully understand all aspects of his/her location(s), build positive relationships with the client, increase performance and increase the efficiencies of the operations. Relationship building with client, recruiting, and gaining 100% of client business in each location by exceeding expectations are our utmost priorities. Core Responsibilities & Duties: Manager in training to become Location Manager or QC Manager Work with management to create and refine SOP's for all aspects of operations Ensure all company policies and SOP's are adhered to Maintain 100% inventory accuracy for all products and accessories Ensure daily and weekly audits are completed properly (cycle counts, cancel report, MARS audits) Focus on Independent Contractor Partnerships (Onboarding, Training, Profitability & Compliance) Hold Service Provider meetings as needed to review claims, settlements, compliance, etc. Attend daily pre-shift/safety meetings to outline SOPs, Quality, or Training Topics Manage claims and their processes (Product damage, property damage and inventory variance) Store visits as needed in order to exceed client expectations and build/maintain relationships Hold Weekly Operations Meetings with management team to discuss improvement plans Address and report any safety concerns Provide Weekly and daily updates on your location's performance. Recaps should include: Improvement plans, loadout, claims and ride behind recaps Scorecard and KPI Lane audits and cycle counts Must be willing to cover any shift and any responsibilities as needed Provide operational support to assigned locations when needed Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Self-motivated and maintains a high level of energy Proficient computer skills - Microsoft Office, WMS, Descartes Organizational and prioritization skills Strong verbal and personal communication skills Ability to pass forklift and hazardous certifications yearly Ability to read and understand industry documents; container load plans, bill of lading, bonded documents Must be willing to relocate with advancement Forward Air is an Equal Opportunity employer.
