Sales Account Manager- DHS
Job summary: The Public Sector Sales team is looking for an experienced federal sales professional to join us as a Sales Account Manager in the DC Metro region. In this role, you will handle relationships with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) within the North America Public Sector. You'll help our customers and partners support their critical mission and IT transformation efforts using our services and solutions. You'll be responsible for building new strategic executive-level relationships and expanding and improving the business we do with existing customers. As a Sales Account Manager, you will also work to gain an understanding of customers mission, needs, and challenges, articulating the value of Red Hat's solutions and how they can address their needs. Primary job responsibilities: Communicate Red Hat's values and visions to the executive and management levels of customer organizationsSuccessfully sell solutions and services in the fieldDevelop new account areas of focus within the assigned accountRepresent Red Hat to customers and customers to Red Hat in sales-related mattersMeet assigned sales quotasWork to develop and expand a fixed set of named accountsLead a Sales team consisting of solutions architects, insides sales representatives, consultants, engagement managers, and Red Hat's senior management Required skills: 5+ years of experience working in a federal sales account manager roleSignificant knowledge of the US Public Sector and DHSExcellent record of working in software and services solutions sales in the federal sectorDemonstrated experience selling complex solutions to large matrixed organizations and multiple decision-makersAbility to create a logical account strategy to grow and expand an existing accountAbility to work as part of a team while demonstrating flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work without direct supervisionSolid understanding of the federal government's acquisition processCommunication and technical skills that allow you to develop relationships at all levels throughout various organizations and programs within an agencyWillingness to travel up to 50%#LI-DNI About Red Hat: Red Hat is the worlds leading provider of enterprise open source software solutions, using a community-powered approach to deliver reliable and high-performing Linux, hybrid cloud, container, and Kubernetes technologies.
