This position is responsible for supporting the Department of Information Technology IT) in managing personal computers, laptops, software applications supported by IT, Tracking assets, inventory, refresh, replacements, reporting damages, maintaining surrplus report, damages, theft, maintenance and memory upgrades. The incumbent is responsible for weekly status reports, generating policies and procedures, barcodes, customer outreach stickers applied to equipment distribution and spare accessories. The incumbent will also be responsible for deployment and sign-off on receivables. This position serves as a liaison between any internal or external customers on behalf of the departme of inofrmation technology as requested or specified.

Experience working with an Asset management team and using an IT Asset Management tool desireble. Special consideration will be given to a candidate with experience in Service Now.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field. Minimum two (2) years of Information Technology experience. Possesses two (2) years of experience in the Functional Area of the project, one (1) year of governmental experience and must be proficient in oral and written communication skills and Microsoft Office software proficiency.

Or, an equivalent combination of accredited post high school education and minimum five (5) years of Information Technology experience. Possesses 2 years of experience in the Functional Area of the project, one (1) year of governmental experience and must be proficient in oral and written communication skills, Microsoft Office software proficiency.

License:

Possession of, or the ability to rapidly acquire, a valid District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia motor vehicle operator's permit issued from the jurisdiction of residence.

Medical Group:

Satisfactorily complete the medical examination for this position, if required. The incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of this position either with or without reasonable accommodations.

Job Summary/Duties:

The incumbent is responsible for weekly status reports, generating policies and procedures, barcodes, customer outreach stickers applied to equipment distribution and spare accessories. The incumbent will also be responsible for deployment and sign-off on receivables. This position serves as a liaison between any internal or external customers on behalf of the Department of Information Technology as requested or specified.

Reviews changes in software inventory location and assignment and ensures proper paperwork is completed and filed and that proper personnel are notified.

Assists in the development of administrative and technical assistance policies and in analyzing and seeking solutions to problems.

Verifies, reconciles, and documents software inventory information.

Assists in taking periodical software inventory.

Arranges and documents the transfer of software and equipment.

Maintains department requisition reports.

Completes receiving reports on all software/hardware received.

Enters new software/hardware assets into the inventory database.
