Position Overview:
Freddie Mac has an exciting opportunity for an Automation Testing Professional to add to our existing test engineering team with prior experience in working in automation practice/COE and/or delivery for multiple small/large test automation efforts to support quality assurance. We are seeking a motivated individual who can strategize, test and evaluate new or modified software changes based on business requirements to ensure quality product of service deliverables using test automation following the best coding practices and automation standards. As a hands-on member of the IT Team, you would independently drive and execute the Testing solution and delivery of a project with optimally completing testing and should able to work on multiple testing tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

**This position can be performed currently from a remote location in the U.S. but will require presence in a Freddie Mac office in the future.***

Your Impact:
  • Provide hands-on test automation support in writing, maintaining and improving test code with the best coding practices followed
  • Understand and align with strategic objectives
  • Handle and report on key quality metrics.
  • Work on specific action plans, utilizing existing resources and information to achieve strategic objectives and improve business results.
  • Enable technical transformation within the team moving from a manual testing approach to automation
  • Work closely with test teams, developers, business and vendor partners to drive and promote technical design in all of engineering processes
  • Drive the team to become more adaptable in quality assurance through test automation, and Continuous Testing practices
Qualifications:
  • BS in Computer Science or Information Technology, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience from which knowledge and skills may be obtained.
  • 3 to 5 year(s) of experience using Test Management, Defect Tracking, Requirements Management, and Modeling tools, including automated testing tools framework experience.
  • Solid understanding and experience with automation concepts, frameworks, tools, and techniques.
  • Experience working as part of a successful Agile/SCRUM team delivering test automation
  • Strong Programming skills required (preferably Java/JavaScript/TypeScript) and solid grasp of object-oriented programming, databases, development, and testing methodologies
  • Experience in Testing Microservices/API which includes Contract Testing, Mocking, integration between services, Functional Testing, etc.,
  • Strong UI automation experience using standard automation test tools like Selenium, Protractor etc
  • Experience in working with DevOps implementation and good knowledge of CI tool Jenkins
  • Knowledge of primary database engines with a demonstrated ability to write complex queries to be used for data validation and troubleshooting
