Applied Network Solutions (www.ansfederal.com) is looking for a TS/ SCI Polygraph cleared Senior Network Operations Engineer to join our team supporting a US Federal Government customer. This work will be seated in Arlington, VA and is in within walking distance of a major metro station. This is a Mid-day Shift. You will work Thursday - Monday from 2pm - 10:30pm and will have Tuesday, Wednesday off. In this role, you will manage and improve the performance of a highly-complex, enterprise-level network through WAN configuration, management and optimization, with a focus on switching. What you will do: Implement, configure and manage Aruba products (Switches, ClearPass Servers etc.) Secure and authenticate network devices Network security monitoring using both tools and record/log analysis Deploy/integrate network security devicesOn-call support Automation ScriptingRequirementsRequired: * BS degree and 5: years of networking experience or 8+ years of experience in lieu of a degree. * Multi-vendor (Cisco, Juniper etc.) router and switch experience with Aruba products highly preferred. * Hands on experience with CP/IP, MPLS, OSPF, BGP, SDN, and 802.1 protocols and standards. DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and NTP in a large multi-site environment* Experience managing network equipment with vendor specific applications: Aruba Airwave, Aruba ClearPass and/or Arista Cloud Vision preferred. (Cisco Prime or Junos Space accepted)* Network management and analysis tool experience such as SNMP probes, network taps, and traffic analyzers* Visio network topology documentation* Excellent hardware troubleshooting experience.* Previous support for teleworkers and remote access technologies* Strong oral and written communication skills* Strong customer service skills * Remedy ITSM or similar CRM software experience
