Job ID: 181171BRJob Title: Senior Test Software Engineer IILocation: Aberdeen, MDRelocation Offered: YesRaytheon Intelligence & Space has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Test Software Engineer II to join our diverse team supporting a large portfolio of Test Automation Projects in our challenging and dynamic IFF products environment located in Aberdeen Maryland.The Test Automation Department (TAD) is responsible for the design and development of test equipment hardware and software to support a wide range of IFF products and customers. The Aberdeen Test Systems section within TAD is a growing and highly motivated team who consistently provides quality on-time solutions to support external and internal customers seeking innovative and economical solutions for their product lines. Primary responsibility will be to develop LabVIEW test software to exercise and analyze deliverable product. Other responsibilities are to support conceptual and detailed design of test positions and test adapters as well as integration and post-delivery support of these test systems. Candidate will be expected to follow established procedures and instructions while working closely with program / functional supervision to ensure the overall design objectives are met. Candidate must be able to support cradle to grave efforts including proposal generation, conceptual modeling, detailed design, integration, and verification activities as well as cost and schedule for test software activities. Candidate may lead small team of UUT test software developers through develop/maintenance activities and communicate those activities to program and functional management.Security Clearance: The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearanceRequired Skills:Minimum 5 years of test software development with emphasis in automated test systemsExperience with National Instruments LabVIEW software with knowledge of other programming languages (C, C++, C#)Experience in digital and RF test equipment using COTS components to deliver test equipment solutionsExperience with the development and integration of software drivers for the operation of computer hardware interfacesExperience in common computer hardware interface and data protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, Serial Communication (Microsoft Windows environment preferred)Experience with common laboratory/manufacturing test instrumentation and electronics (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies etc.)Experience prioritizing and handling multiple tasks in a production environment, developing solutions under only general direction, and demonstrating solid troubleshooting skillExperience translating requirements into cost effective and creative solutionsExperience planning, conducting, coordinating and managing technical test software development activities such as requirements, design, integration, validation, and/or maintenanceDesired Skills:Ability to plan, conduct, coordinate, and managing technical development activitiesAbility to project estimate (budget and schedule)Sense of process discipline, order, and attention to detailKnowledge of Configuration Management principles, environments, and toolsWork with limited supervision and meet commitments for assigned schedule, financial, and technical goalsExperience leading small team of UUT test software developers through develop/maintenance activitiesExcellent written and interpersonal communication skillsExperience building strong relationships and effectively partnering with distributed teams across multiple sitesExperience working and communicating with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program teamActive Secret clearance Required Education:Bachelor's degree in a related STEM discipline; BS in Electrical Engineering preferred.181171Raytheon is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
