Washington, D.C. - International market development non-profit based in Washington, D.C., is recruiting a Manager of Communications to work in its headquarters. The Manager of Communications will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the U.S. Grains Council’s (USGC’s) publications, website, social media presence and other internal and external outreach, in cooperation with the Communications Department and relevant team members. Critical duties include producing print and electronic communications including a weekly newsletter, website content, social media content, annual report, brochures, news releases and meeting materials. Position is based in Washington, D.C., and domestic and international travel will be required after pandemic restrictions are lifted.

Desired Qualifications: Minimum requirement is a bachelor's degree, with a major in journalism, marketing or similar field preferred. An advanced degree is a plus. The ideal candidate will have at least five years’ experience and/or coursework in ag communications. Proven experience editing, writing and crafting content for social media, and managing communications projects are desirable skills. Experience working with graphic design and audio and video editing is also preferred. Effective communication and ability to simultaneously organize and execute multiple tasks in a dynamic environment within the context of a team are key components of the role.
