As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll be responsible for being on the phone for most of the day coordinating prescription refills & deliveries with patients while also providing support to the Pharmacist when necessary. Along the way, you'll discover the training, support and career opportunities you'd expect from a Fortune 6 leader.Primary Responsibilities: Calling patients to assist with refills for home infusion medications Coordinate new patient orders Coordinate deliveries of IV medication Assist Pharmacist as needed to support the management of clinical work New prescription data entry Coordinate maintenance and Durable medical equipment for patient treatment plan Adhering to all state and federal pharmacy regulations, in scope of practice for pharmacy technicianThis role is equally challenging and rewarding. You'll need to work within multiple computer systems simultaneously as you respond to questions or provide specific medication details/clinical information. It's a fast paced, high volume environment where our members are counting on us to deliver these important, sometimes life-saving medications in an accurate and efficient manner. You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications: High School Diploma / GED (or higher) Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Maryland (active) 2+ years in hospital setting, specialty pharmacy, and or home infusion settings Ability to work an 8 - hour shift between 10 am - 7:30 pm Monday through Friday and an on - call rotation once every 6 weeks You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting or other company location If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (ie, entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas, In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders.Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of basic medical terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, drug use and preparation of IV medication and IV aseptic techniqueUnitedHealth Group is an essential business.
