Leidos' SDA Operation, in conjunction with the TSA, also performs on-call, onsite installation servicing of X- Ray Detection Equipment using leading edge technology to ensure the safety of our clients, customer and passengers.The Security Detection and Automation Operation is comprised of four divisions to align with our customers' missions and needs:CheckpointHold BaggagePorts & BordersGeneral AutomationSUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Manage the installation, relocation & decommissioning of customer owned equipment while coordinating with internal technical resources, external vendors / contractors and local sites / facilities. Responsible for driving the initiatives to completion / production readiness in support of near term customer procurement efforts. Position will require regular interaction with both internal and external stakeholders to meet specific product requirements, schedule and cost objectives. Position includes delivery of the product to the field and ongoing product sustaining efforts to support long-term maintenance.Responsible for interfacing with vendors and managing resources to achieve satisfactory customer results. Duties include the tracking and monitoring of project to ensure TSA customer criteria, timelines and project budgets are met.Ability to identify complex security equipment issues and determine appropriate direction ending in satisfactory results. Works independently managing personnel, resources and daily field tasks that have direct impact on customer delivery. Will have experience supervising team members, evaluating performance and performing disciplinary action as needed. Has a solid understanding of TSA directed field security guidelines.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop / Lead project schedulesDevelop project plans utilizing software tools such as Microsoft ProjectManage project deliverablesUtliize Microsoft Visio to create / update network / project drawings.Understands government and TSA project requirementsSubmit required documentation upon completion of projectCoordinate with project Stakeholders, vendors and customersPlace / track orders for ancillary equipmentSchedule project resourcesEnsure project financial expectations / requirements are metOther duties as requiredPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:Education/Training: Engineering degree in related field (industrial, electrical, electronic, mechanical). 10 years of related experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Computer literacy; competency in use of all programs within MS Office Suite and aptitude for learning specialized software programs.Experience: Requires a Bachelors degree and 4 years experience directly involved in project / program management and installation of advanced/integrated electrical and electronic systems and equipment. Knowledge/Skills: Individuals shall possess excellent communications skills and have a strong orientation for customer focus and teamwork. Must be responsive to all customer issues at all times. Must be willing & able to travel at short notice.Supervises: Manages a remote team of TechniciansBackground: Must be able to pass an in depth background check (TSA eQIP).PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Possess excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal skills with the ability to multi task several projects at once.Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle stressful situations.Self-motivated, reliable, and accountable individualPossess excellent telephone skillsMust be able to lift/carry 50 lbs.Must be able to push/pull 200 lbs.Job requires frequent bending, stooping, twisting, turning, and working in unusual positions requiring full body mobility.Must be able to work safely and follow safety precautions in extreme environments (temperature, humidity, noise, confined spaces, etc.) around dangerous industrial equipment.Must be willing to work emergency support as needed and perform on-call responsibilities per specified schedule or as otherwise prescribed by Service Director.WORK ENVIRONMENT:Work environment is typically considered to be off-site, wherever the customer of concern is located. Service will typically be rendered at airports, correctional facilities, courthouses, cruise ships or other locations as required.
