The Associate will partner with leaders and their teams to identify and address potential risks, process and operational improvement opportunities, and automation improvements in an open, collaborative environment where new ideas and solutions are both welcomed and rewarded.Cyber Data Governance professionals are highly motivated with excellent project management and communication skills. They have a high level of exposure across the department and the opportunity to work with leaders to create and implement innovative solutions to drive improvements and mitigate potential risks to the company.Responsibilities:This role supports Cyber's Data Governance and Resilience team in the first line of defense, in support of Capital One's Enterprise Data Management (EDM) function in the second line of defense and other data initiatives across the company. Specifically, this role will:Support implementation and monitoring of Data Management controls for Cyber systems and data; support the identification and remediation of related process or control gapsMonitor and analyze Data Management metrics and reporting; derive insights and identify targeted improvementsProactively identify process and automation improvements for Data Management practices; support development of pilot and implementation plansPartner with EDM to expand Data Management practices, and adjust related processes and metrics reportingCollaborate effectively across multiple teams and roles including data SMEs, technical teams, and EDM, including defining and maturing engagement and interaction modelsSupport key program initiatives as Capital One continues data transformation and protection, including bridging into business-as-usual Data Management practice operations to integrate emerging requirements and capabilitiesLead and execute specific projects as assignedDrive an understanding and adherence to the principles of data quality management including metadata, lineage, and business definitionsBasic Qualifications:High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certificationAt least 2 years of Project, Product, or Process Management experienceAt least 1 year of experience supporting, partnering, and interacting with internal business clientsPreferred Qualifications:2+ years of Technology experience with exposure to data controls and data management2+ years of specialized Data Management experience or experience with EDM processes and tools3+ years of Project, Product, or Process Management experience leading cross functional projects and programsExperience with Google office suite, Jira, and ConfluenceAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
