Description Job Description: The Government Health and Safety Operation has an opening for a Data Analytics Engineer position to support a large healthcare contract in Baltimore. The candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering large complex engagements which identify, design, and implement creative business and technology services. The candidate will execute and manage lifecycle of data management: data warehouse/storage, data extraction, data blending, data analytics and data reporting/visualizations and will have experience designing and developing complex data analytics platform, Web APIs to consume data and deploying the solutions in a cloud environment. The candidate will manage day-to-day interactions with the Federal Manager, Business SMEs, Program leadership and other stakeholders. Experience leading a team of data analyst and data engineers is required. Will evaluate projects from technical stance, helping to ensure that development methods are correct and practical, evaluate risks related to requirements management, business process definition, testing processes, internal controls, project communications, training, and organization change management. The candidate will apply an enterprise-wide set of disciplines for the planning, analysis, design and construction of data analytics and business information systems on an enterprise-wide basis or across a major sector of the enterprise. Develop analytical and computational techniques and methodology for problem solutions. Perform enterprise wide strategic systems planning, business information planning, business and analysis. Perform process and data modeling in support of the planning and analysis efforts using both manual and automated tools. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 8-10 years of professional experience; or 6-8 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Required skills: Ability to conduct data analysis to identify root cause of data discrepancies that lead to logic and data transformation updates required in ETL or reporting logic. Hands-on experience with data reporting and visualization to include (but not limited to) Business objects, Qliksense, Tableau, Power BI and AWS Quicksight. Ability to elicit and document functional and technical requirements to support the transformation and effective design of a business process or reporting output. Cloud certifications preferred, Oracle, SQL, MS SQL Server Reporting Services or equivalent BI reporting tool, Windows, Linux, and Object Oriented Design/Programming. Experience with Data Warehouse / Data Lake such as Redshift and Athena as well as Data Replication tooling such as IIDR or Qlik. Desired skills: Functional familiarity (hands-on experience preferred) with AWS Cloud GLUE, Kinesis Data Streams, DMS, Lake Formation, Qlik Catalog, Glue Data Catalog, Sage Maker and Comprehend, Oracle, DB2 and/or PostGreSQL, SQL, MS SQL Server Reporting Services or an equivalent BI reporting tool, Linux, and Object Oriented Design/Programming, Data Modeling, Business Process Modeling would be beneficial. Good communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to drive the tasks under multiple constraints Additional Requirements: Position requires successful clearing for Public Trust Level.
