Office Manager and Development Coordinator

The George Mason University, College of Science (COS) invites applicants for the Office Manager and Development Coordinator position. Responsibilities: As a key member of the Dean's Administration team, the Office Manager provides administrative assistance and coordination in a variety of general areas including providing some specific support for the Development Team. The Office Manager will also be responsible for the administrative operations of the suite such as telecom, key control, work orders and purchasing. This position professionally represents the Dean's office and is a prime contact for in-person, telephone, and email communications, event support, and will be comfortable working in a team-oriented atmosphere to support the Dean and the multiple functions of the office and college. The position performs efficiently in an active, priority-changing environment. The incumbent reports to the COS Administrative Manager (primary) and the Director of Development (secondary) in order to coordinate priorities, optimize office operations, implement administrative systems, and support development outreach.

Required Qualifications: * Strong interpersonal communication, listening and customer service skills; * Strong attention to details and nuance; * Ability to secure and preserve sensitive and confidential information; * Ability to demonstrate a high level of business professionalism; * Demonstrated experience successfully working and communicating with a diverse internal and external community; * Mastery of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications: * Experience providing administrative support to academic leadership, particularly in a dean or provost level office; * College degree; * Experience with Qualtrics, Zoom Webinar, MS Teams, and scheduling software.
