Commonwealth Cyber Initiative (CCI) Program Manager, College of Engineering and Computing

The George Mason University Commonwealth Cyber Initiative (CCI) Program, within the College of Engineering and Computing, invites applications for the Commonwealth Cyber Initiative (CCI) Program Manager to provide program management and administrative support for the organization and execution of initiatives for the Northern Virginia (NoVa) Node of the Commonwealth Cyber Initiative (CCI). About the Commonwealth Cyber Initiative (CCI): CCI, funded by the Virginia General Assembly, created a Commonwealth-wide ecosystem of innovation in cybersecurity and cyber-physical systems (CPS) security. CCI will ensure Virginia is recognized as a global leader in secure CPS and in the digital economy more broadly for decades to come by supporting world-class research at the intersection of data, autonomy, and security; promoting technology commercialization and entrepreneurship; and preparing future generations of innovators and research leaders. George Mason University serves as the leading strategic planning and operational institution for the Commonwealth Cyber Initiative's NoVa Node. The position will reside in George Mason's College of Engineering and Computing. Veterans are encouraged to apply.

About the Position: Successful candidates will be expected to provide program management and administrative support for the organization and execution of initiatives under the NoVa Node of the Commonwealth Cyber Initiative (CCI) and will support the CCI NoVa Node Director as needed.

Responsibilities: * Assist with the development and regular review of the CCI NoVa Node's strategic plan, and solicit input from NoVa Node leadership and constituents; * Assist in the development and issuance of Request for Proposals (RFPs) for CCI funding, assist in the intake and processing of proposals and their review by external reviewers, correspond with grant awardees and coordinate communications with awardees post award; * Develop, track and review initiative and organization budgets, coordinate budget submissions to Mason's and other institutions' Office of Special Programs (OSPs), coordinate budget submissions to the Commonwealth and prepare interim and annual budget reports; * Interface with industry partners to facilitate their access to interns, research expertise, and tech transfer and innovation opportunities associated with CCI; * Maintain records to track programmatic progress across multiple projects under the CCI NoVa Node portfolio, oversee administrative functions related to CCI NoVa Node projects and develop, draft, review and deliver quarterly and annual reports; * Coordinate closely and meet regularly with counterparts at the other CCI Nodes and the CCI Hub; * Schedule and plan meetings with faculty, partner organizations and CCI leadership, events, workshops, training sessions, tech demonstrations and field visits by external partners and constituents, including all associated logistics; * Work closely with regional institutional partners on projects related to cybersecurity innovation.

Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree; or a combination of education and experience in project management, budget tracking, project/program reporting or office administration; * Demonstrated project management skills including but not limited to: project planning, performance monitoring and tracking, project schedule tracking; * Experience with preparing, tracking, and reporting on budgets and associated data; * Ability to organize and draft reports on projects and programs; * Ability to guide others on report and budget requirements; * Experience managing stakeholders; * Effective oral and written communication skills; * Demonstrated ability to edit text and proof-read documents for grammatical errors; * Demonstrated ability to assemble a PowerPoint presentation for presentations to internal and external constituents regarding research, workforce and innovation initiatives under CCI; * Ability to clearly communicate procedures and practices, reporting, budgeting and program requirements to a variety of stakeholders; * Clerical and office support skills; * Working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint); * Accurate keyboarding skills.

Preferred Qualifications: * Education in Cybersecurity, certifications in Cybersecurity, and/or training in or experience within the Cybersecurity field; and * Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
