Prospect Management Analyst

About the Position: Reporting to the Associate Director of Prospect Management, this position is responsible for tracking prospect interactions, entering and managing data related to officer portfolios, maintenance of suspect pool, and plans and implements special projects related to prospect portfolio management.

Responsibilities: * Create, maintain, monitor, and audit complex database records related to donor and prospect management to ensure accuracy and completion; * Track prospect interactions and moves via reporting and database review, develop strategic recommendations about prospect and donor cultivation and solicitations, and rate prospects in terms of inclination and capacity; * Interact with Advancement officers with the aim of soliciting input and explaining database decisions; * Conduct biographical and financial research on donors to ascertain placement in gift pyramids.

Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts, Social Sciences, Communications or Business is required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; * Superior written and oral communication skills and the ability to be timely, thorough, accurate, and detail-oriented; * Proven track record in creating, maintaining, and auditing complex database records; * Knowledge of fundraising and advancement officer activities and proven experience producing analysis and reporting to drive fundraising strategies; * Ability to interact effectively with a broad-range of expertise and seniority; * Demonstrated ability to analyze and synthesize data from a variety of sources, including thorough knowledge of research resources, and present the resulting information in a clear summary; * Ability to prioritize shifting priorities, projects and workflows and use time and resources efficiently; * Exceptional computer skills that include Microsoft Office Suite, various prospect identification and relational databases, along with advanced web search technique; * Demonstrated experience of managing complex database; * Ability to develop, present, and implement special projects and reports to better serve department purposes; * Solid investigative skills, the ability to work both independently and collaborative, to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in prospect management and/or prospect research in a higher education advancement setting is preferred; * Familiarity with Salesforce CRM Platform.
