To qualify, applicants must have one year or more of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level. Specialized experience is defined as experience researching, interpreting and applying security and intelligence technical methods, policies, regulations, and procedures to administer and/or manage a multi-discipline security program to include at least three or more of the following security program disciplines: Information Security (INFOSEC), Industrial Security (INDUSEC), Personnel Security (PERSEC), Physical Security (PHYSEC), Special Access Programs (SAPs), and Special Compartmented Information (SCI). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (GG/GS-12).
Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Responsibilities
- Administer Special Compartmented Information (SCI) Security; Special Access Programs; Sensitive Activities; Operations, Personnel, Information, Industrial, and Physical Security; and Security Awareness, Education and Training (SAET) programs.
- Serve as an Assistant Government Special Access Program (SAP) Officer (GSSO). Responsible for organization, planning, and implementation of security program requirements which affect Special Access Programs.
- Serve as Special Security Representatives (SSRs) responsible for the day-to-day management and implementation of the facility?s SCI security program.
- Provide facility accreditation support, physical security, access management, and self-inspections ensuring SCI security program compliance is maintained.
- Serve as Team Lead or Member in support of the command's Organizational Inspection Program (OIP) and CCDC G2 Security Compliance Inspections.
- Initiate, develop, and coordinate implementation of intelligence policies, and monitors/evaluates field compliance with broad overall policies pertaining to the DEVCOM command-wide Foreign Material Program.
- Provide guidance to, coordinate with and support CCDC Centers and Laboratories (CENTERS/LAB) security offices with implementation of Technology Protection Program requirements.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis for access to special access program.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Perform other duties as assigned to include being responsible for COOP planning, testing and compliance to ensure office capabilities are not lost or damaged during emergency or crisis situations.
