Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing entire EEO Discrimination Complaints Processing Program, both formal and informal, for the Agency.
  • Serves as Budget Financial Coordination Officer (FCO) for the DCMA EEO Office.
  • Responsible for providing technical guidance and on-the-job training to a team of EEO Specialists/EEO Counselors.
  • Reviews, coordinates, interprets, and monitors implementation of EEO policies originated by higher authorities.
  • Performs limited duties regarding personnel administration of the Complaints Processing Staff.
  • Responsible for EEO program evaluation through required reporting, i.e., Annual Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Statistical Report of Discrimination Complaints (Form 462) Report.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates formal complaints for acceptance/dismissal/clarification and reviews or prepares pertinent correspondence.

Qualifications

To qualify for an Equal Employment Specialist (Complaints Manager), your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in, or related to, this position. To qualify for the NH-03 level, specialized experience must be at the NH-02 or GS-11 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Creditable specialized experience includes:
  • Experience resolving/processing Equal Employment complaints.
  • Experience utilizing a complaint tracking system and experience conducting or assisting with Equal Employment training.


Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
