Associate Manager, EcommerceBluemercury is looking for an Associate Manager, Ecommerce to join our Digital team! This role will support the growth of our digital business with a focus on driving revenue through increased category, brand and product page performance and improved conversion. The Associate Manager will manage the day-to-day execution of website merchandising, partnering with the merchandising, planning, marketing, and digital teams to support the launch of new brands, products, campaigns and content on Bluemercury.com. In addition, they will work closely with our Proprietary Brands team to ensure the continued growth of M-61 and Lune + Aster on Bluemercury.com, M61labs.com, Luneandaster.com, and Amazon. This role will manage the Ecommerce Coordinator responsible for Digital Item Setup. The right person for this role is organized, detailed-oriented, data-driven, collaborative and has an affinity for process. They should be passionate about beauty and luxury retail, and excited about building a best-in-class digital experience. This role reports directly into the Sr. Director, Digital. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Site Merchandising & Product Content Responsible for driving site KPIs such as conversion, average order value, product page views, and add-to-cart rate through continuous improvement of the online product discovery and purchase journey - including management of site navigation and filter/attribution strategy, on-site search, and product presentation.Manage online merchandising and personalization rules to ensure continuous optimization of Category and Content Landing Pages, Product Detail Pages, Personalized Recommendations, and On-Site Search.Collaborate with Digital Marketing teams to ensure that channel tactics (Email, Social, SEM, Affiliates etc.) are aligned with product and promotions. Spearhead the execution of all category specific events including understanding the product assortment, marketing and linking strategy.Work cross functionally to bring category and brand stories to life online; partner closely with Site Content coordinator on execution of product guides, seasonal campaigns, and brand landing pages.Collaborate with Merchants to oversee category specific strategy and recommend improvements around product images, copy, categorization and refinements.Partner with SEO and Content teams to optimize Product and Category data (redirects, 404 etc.), as well as build-out of relevant content to support continuous improvement of site SEO performance Operations & Promotions Manage Ecommerce team priorities, ensuring business goals, timelines, and quality standards are met for web-item lifecycle and product catalogue. Partner with the Merchandising team to optimize item setup and vendor asset submission process to improve team efficiency, timelines, and overall quality of product content.Management of backend tools, processes, and SOPs that support Product Setup, Navigation and On-Site Search, Site Merchandising and Content, and Promotions.Provide recommendations to cross-functional teams on best-practice promotion setup online to ensure optimized user experience, and more efficient/effective back-end setup for internal teams.Daily & Weekly QA of front-end content experience and promotions to ensure overall seamless client experience; audit campaign copy and promotion disclaimers for accuracy, and thorough user-experience testing of page links, promo functionality, and messaging on landing pages, cart and checkout.Responsible for GWP & Sample strategy and schedule, in partnership with Marketing; ensuring featured strategically on site and in relevant digital marketing content.Perform regular site audits to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.Analytics & Reporting Perform ongoing analysis of the online business, providing insights to the merchant team and surfacing new ways to drive sales, including analysis on KPIs, campaign and co-op post-mortem, and ongoing competitor/industry trendsOngoing reporting on customer path to purchase; optimizing site navigation (top, left, editorial), filters/attributes, and onsite search to ensure product findability is customer-friendly and helps to drive business priorities.Analyze Sales, Conversion Funnel, and Voice of Customer insights (Product Reviews, Customer Service, AB testing) to understand customer engagement and identify opportunities to improve user experience, merchandising strategies, and promotional execution onlinePartner with Analytics team to ensure site reporting captures necessary details to understand customer behavior, and opportunities to improve engagement with content and product pagesCollaborate with Digital and Dev Agency to define, test and deliver site enhancements related to product findability and customer path to purchase; track and measure impact of changes on site KPIs DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree3+ years experience in digital/ecommerce, marketing, retail or a related field1+ year experience managing a direct report and/or cross-functional partnersUnderstanding of retail ecommerce landscape, experience in beauty or luxury industry is a plusAbility to quickly learn new tools/systems with experience using ecommerce platforms and content management tools (background in Shopify is a plus!)Proven analytical capability with online measuring tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics etc.); ability to read and build reports, and synthesize data into actionable insights that support overall business objectivesResourceful, with strong problem-solving abilities and a high degree of proactive "hands-on" critical thinkingExcellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable presenting to cross-functional teams, external parties & internal leadership audiences with a focus on quantitative results and business opportunitiesHighly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint)High-level of organization, time management, and attention-to-detail; strong aptitude to work within deadlines, both independently and as part of a teamProactive and self-motivated, with a proven ability to function well in a collaborative & fast-paced environment This job description is not all inclusive.
