*Description:* * Lead audit and accounting engagements * Develop and prepare complete, accurate and orderly workpapers * Supervise, train and review the work of Staff Accountants on audit/review engagements * Prepare client financial statements * Prepare various tax returns as needed * Research GAAP and financial accounting matters * Work independently on larger engagements and assist in compiling information into final report * Obtain a thorough understanding of client's business, systems and procedures * Recognize control weaknesses and recommend proper disposition * Provide feedback to clients to assist them in streamlining their business processes * Interact closely with Managers and Partners on client matters * Plan, budget and oversee job efficiency for audit/review engagements * Develop personal marketing goals appropriate for level and experience * Responsible for knowing and keeping up with professional pronouncements - GAAP, and basic tax concepts * Apply technical knowledge to client problems and situations * Charge hour goal of 1600 hours per year *Skills:* Audit, accounting, accounting analysis, public accounting *Additional Skills & Qualifications:* * BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or related area * CPA or CPA candidate required * At least 5 years of experience auditing in public accounting industry About Aston Carter: Aston Carter is a distinguished global provider of recruitment and staffing services to companies requiring highly specialized business professionals.
