As a SEM Specialist you will work closely with the Digital Marketing Team (SEM Manager and Digital Strategists) to coordinate and optimize each of our clients' search programs (paid search and Google Ad Grants) programs. She/he will be responsible for the development and execution of search engine marketing (SEM) and digital marketing activities that generate qualified web traffic and conversions for identified KPIs. A successful candidate will have a hands-on approach to implement digital strategies that increase productivity and optimize campaigns in order to reach ROI targets. The right candidate will have specific experience in paid search, up-to-date knowledge of organic search tactics, a strategic mindset and strong execution.Essential Functions:Provides full execution of all core SEM tactics (keyword research/expansion, technical audits, link building, bid management, optimize ad copy and landing page content suggestions, etc.)Analyzes performance data daily to find trends and opportunities for improvement and areas of weakness with accounts and campaigns (including cross-channel traffic and attribution)Assists and implements digital acquisition strategy, lead generation tactics, A/B and multivariate testing, ad copy writing, keyword buildsPrepares regular analytical data & reports with defined KPIs, recent performance, insights, trends, and upcoming efforts or opportunitiesAssists with set-up of conversion tracking systems to ensure proper measurement of value generated by search traffic; audits current set-up of site events and data sources, ensuring all data sources are connected and feeding events properlyWorks with internal cross-functional teams to develop integrated approaches to campaignsWorks with Digital Project Manager to ensure accurate billing of all paid digital media as well as retainers in assigned areasPositionRequirements (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):Appreciation - Is transparent and honest with team members, appreciates differences between coworkers in thought as well as style, and shows respect for others and their ideas.Communication - Demonstrates excellent use of the English language (grammar, syntax, vocabulary); possesses the ability to communicate effectively and continuously with internal as well as external customers; composes clear/complete emails.Computer Proficiency - Strong computer skills including all Microsoft products (Outlook; Excel; Word; PowerPoint)Job Specific Programs/Functions as Applicable: Google Analytics and Tag Manager experience a must; Google Analytics and Google Adwords Certification(s) a plus; Hubspot Certification a plusCongeniality - Positive attitude, not easily discouraged, open to alternative views, accepting of coaching/peer input, and copes well even under pressure.Customer Service - Anticipates the needs of others as well as clients, acts upon those needs appropriately, and help remove barriers to excellent customer service.Industry Knowledge - In-depth knowledge and understanding of direct-response best practices, strategy, and tactics.
