Seeking a talented individual for a full-time Power Systems Engineer (Hardware/Quality) job near Herndon, VA through Modis as we're partnered with a leader for building the largest national infrastructure for electric vehicle DC fast-charging stations. Over the next two decades, sales of electric vehicle vehicles are expected to surpass gasoline-powered cars.In this role, you'll support the power distribution and troubleshooting of highly complex electrical systems for a multi-billion-dollar national electric vehicle charging station infrastructure.This tier 3 role is more for "scientists" as we are seeking candidates with strong hands-on engineering skills with proven problem-solving abilities in a state-of-the-art electrification laboratory, using instrumentation and your diagnostic talents. Will assess and manage quality problems in the DC fast charger network. This role shall pre-analyze problems after being recorded by the call center or the NOC and then communicate with the corresponding hardware vendor on detailed failure analysis and corrective actions. Will work closely with SW/HW development on the implementation of solutions and the needed validation, either by the vendor or OEM. In addition, this role shall help to improve the current diagnostic concepts of the vendors so that Error codes are more specific and point more directly to the failure cause.This is a full-time role with full employer benefits.
