Job Summary/Company: Sparks Group has partnered with a large parts supplier in the Fredrick, MD that is on the search for an Administrative Assistant! In this role you will be using the SAP software daily to input orders, manage orders, and track orders - while maintaining files, reviewing reports, and answering phones. This position will support multiple departments within Manufacturing Operations with various administrative functions, including but not limited to the following:

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates and maintains time card edits and reviews/runs reports on attendance records
  • Creates Purchase Requisitions and Plant Maintenance records in SAP
  • Updates and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and ISO Documents
  • Maintains paper and electronic files
  • Routes incoming mail to appropriate individual
  • Fill in when needed for Shipping Department to ensure shipment documentation is complete
  • Serves as back-up to the front desk for breaks/lunches and absences
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education/Experience:
  • Minimum of 1-2 years administrative support
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Accurate data entry skills a must
  • SAP experience required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, use hands to finger, reach with hands and arms; stoop, and talk or hear. The employee will interact with plant employees on the production/warehouse floor. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an office environment in a manufacturing plant as well as the warehouse and production floor.
