Responsibilities include:
• Prepares patient for diagnostic imaging procedures, explains procedures.
• Produce x-ray films of parts of the human body for use in diagnosing medical problems.
• Maintains equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition. Ensures that the exam room contains the proper supplies for the diagnostic procedures. • Recognizes equipment limitations and malfunctions, ensures proper equipment function and inspections, and reports failures to the Manager.
• Follows department radiation safety procedures and protections in accordance with safety standards for patients and staff.
• Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
• Prepares patients for radiology procedures. Takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety
• Uses a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials.
• Prepares contract media and barium.

Qualified candidates will possess:
• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiography Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist
• Active Maryland license required
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• One year of current experience within your specialty in a hospital environment
