Integrated Communications and Marketing is a multimedia, service-focused communications and marketing operation that leads in shaping the impression of AARP by providing communications planning, marketing, support and execution for AARP's strategic business units.

Our team drives the strategy and implementation for AARP Rewards, a loyalty program for the greater good. As an Intern, you will apply strategic, analytical, and creative thinking to solve critical marketing challenges. On any given day, you could help curate content where users can earn points or support the optimization of the e-commerce redemption catalog.

We'll challenge you to think and work in new ways. We are committed to your growth and will cultivate your continued learning and development. The internship has an anticipated start date of June 2021 through December 2021.

Responsibilities

On an average day, you will be responsible for supporting key functions of loyalty marketing, including, but not limited to:

• Assist with project management of key tactics including content curation, adaptation, product integration, authoring, and deployment
• Assist with the preparation/documentation of the Boutique Call Center Launch
• Help develop themes for the AARP Rewards Connect page, including expert outreach, defining topics, writing and editing copy
• Audit AARP Rewards earning opportunities for quality and across AARP.org for improved discoverability
• Manage and maintain the creative library, collecting creative from past promotions
• Traffic projects with various internal groups
• Edit and Q/A email and Rewards pages, including the redemption catalog
• Contribute to data analyses and write-up of findings
• Assist with manual Customer Care reporting

Requirements

Interns must be currently enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university; be considered rising undergraduate juniors or seniors, graduate students, or post-doctoral students; and remain academically enrolled throughout the internship.

AARP also considers non-traditional interns who are looking to re-enter the workforce or change careers. This may include those who have previously graduated from college and enrolled in a continuing education program.

Compensation and Benefits

Internships are non-exempt positions and are not eligible for employee benefits.

As a result of the COVID pandemic, all interviews will be held virtually and all non-essential employees will continue to work remotely until further notice.
