Let your imagination take flight supporting the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD). Looking to find work that stimulates your mind, challenges your skills, and satisfies your curiosity? MIL currently holds several multi-year contracts with NAWCAD in the areas of Cyber, C5ISR, and Information Technology systems.

Summary

The MIL Corporation seeks a Help Desk Support I to support the NAVAIR National Help Desk by serving as Tier II software and financial related travel support for all travel related inquiries for the NAVAIR Patuxent River and St. Inigoes travel community (and other NAVAIR travelers as necessary). As part of the support, CTA personnel will respond to customer inquiries and serve as a liaison between travelers/preparers and the PSD/SATO organization. Policy issues will be provided to the government point of contact for resolution prior to responding to the traveler/preparer. Inquiries and requests for service may come from various media, such as facsimile, e-mail, telephone, in-person, etc. Average estimated calls are 1,300 - 1,820 per month.

Key Duties
  • Assistance with application support for DTS
  • Provide instructions in the creation, completion, and routing of travel documents
  • Provide status on outstanding vouchers/authorizations including routing, payment, and troubleshooting of trouble vouchers
  • Provide instructions and assistance in creating/managing reservations
  • Provide instructions and answering questions concerning voucher payment calculations
  • Provide instruction on obtaining DTS profiles
  • Update DTS profiles and attaching/detaching travelers to the NAVAIR community
  • Provide Cross Organization Instructions
  • Provide assistance with resolving documents that reject or fail to process through to completion for various reasons.
  • Notify TAC of DTS system issues, and request guidance in resolving various travel issues on behalf of traveler
  • Provide technical assistance to computer users
  • Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, or via telephone or electronically
  • May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems

Required Qualifications
  • Three (3) to ten (10) years of work experience is required
  • Experience using Defense Travel System (DTS) and Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook for Email
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Desired Qualifications
  • Prior Navy, NAVAIR, or NAWCAD experience highly desired

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree is desired
  • An Associate's degree with four (4)+ additional years of experience can substitute for the Bachelor requirement
  • OR a HS Diploma/GED along with six (6)+ additional years of experience may be substituted

Clearance

All applicants for this position must be able to obtain a certification of Moderate Risk Public Trust issued by the Federal Agency; please note that the certification process takes into account financial background.
