Security Specialist Industry: DefenseSalary: $95-$98k+ (negotiable) Location: Washington DC/Reston, VA Security Clearance: Active TS, must be SCI + CI poly eligible Job Summary: SRG Government Services is seeking a candidate to support a client working in the US intelligence community. The ideal candidate will assist with various security and administrative functions related to personnel clearance and badge management, security education and training functions, as well as ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DOD) and Intelligence Community (IC) policy. This full-time position is contingent upon contract award.Responsibilities: Serve as a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) and provide support to the Government Program Security Officer (PSO). As the CPSO, they will provide support for program security and execution of all security policies and requirements for specified SAP programs, compartments, sub-compartments, and projects.Review, verify, edit, draft, and submit security paperwork for establishment, maintenance, or close-out of cleared facilities in accordance with applicable policies. Conduct or support the periodic security inspections of cleared facilities to ensure compliance with the Technical Specification for Construction and Management of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities.Assist in preparation and uploading of security clearance packages to internal agency databases and any unique requirements of various classified programs.Draft and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP), Security Classification Guides (SCGs) and other essential security documents, records, and databases.Educate and assist government personnel on security/special access program policies, procedures, and guidance to ensure proper communications and discussions can occur amongst cleared personnel within appropriate facilities.Maintain a security regimen which ensures all classified information generated or received is appropriately protected according to guidelines in DIA, DoD, and applicable IC security directives including but not limited to DoDD 5205.07 and associated manuals, ICD 705, and DoDM 5200.45.In the event there is an information leak, provide support to the PSO in reporting and mitigation of the incidents.The position may have access to Special Access Programs (SAP). Minimum Qualifications: Three to Five years of experience with government security databases (eg, JADE, Scattered Castles, JPAS/DISS)Bachelor s degree in a related field of studyCompletion of prerequisites for access to JPAS (PII course)Excellent communication skills, orally and writtenMinimum of a Top Secret and the ability to obtain an SCI, CI Poly is required Desired Qualifications: Training and experience working with SAPs.Experience with SCIF accreditations and inspections.Completion of instructor led Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) Introduction to Special Access Programs Course (SA101.01).Experience performing GSSO or CPSO functions for government and contractor customers.Special Program Security Certification (SPSC).DoD or military service.
