SummaryJoin our wonderful faculty! Emmanuel Preschool is seeking a Preschool Administrator tobegin work in June 2021. In collaboration with the Director, the Administrator plans,directs and coordinates the nonacademic activities of the preschool, including studentregistration and enrollment, communications and marketing, school wide events andother tasks as assigned. The Administrator reports directly to the Director and worksclosely with the preschool teachers and families.DutiesRegistration/Enrollment: Collect, organize and distribute registration forms and enrollment paperworkto/from new and returning students. Maintain master list of registered students. Create, distribute and maintain individual class and school-wide directories. Act as main contact for families who have a child/ren with allergies. Distribute toparents, collect and organize required allergy forms. Distribute completed formsto teachers and share any updates and/or concerns. Provide plastic bins to teachersfor children who cannot eat snack provided and need to bring food from home. Assist in the annual enrollment process, notify families of acceptance andmaintain wait lists. In collaboration with the Director, update the Parent Handbook and school yearcalendar. Assemble Back-to-School Night folders with school information for families. Assemble Classroom Binders with school information, calendars and schoolforms for teachers.Communications and Marketing: Responsible for regular correspondence with parents, including the weekly e-newsletter, EPS Messenger, outlining upcoming events and reminders. Manage Constant Contact by creating and maintaining email lists. Edit and update preschool brochure and prospective parent handouts annually. Update the website regularly with application and enrollment information. Create and post signage to promote Open House and preschool registrationGeneral: Use Discretion and Confidentiality at all times. Responsible for overseeing substitutes and finding substitutes for absent teachers.This includes last minute substitutes mornings before school starts and fillingplanned absences ahead of time. Update and maintain the teacher vacation/sick calendar. At the end of the year,provide the Director with the total vacation/sick days taken for each teacher. Coordinate with Church Staff on communications, building use and shared spaceconsiderations. Provide a list of dates and corresponding "Holiday Snacks" for each class toResource Parents. Organize school events for students and their families (ex. Back-to-School Night,Welcome Coffees, EPS Family Pizza Party, 4/5s End of the Year Party, etc.). Thisinclude invitations, helping our Resource Parents organize food, setup and breakdown in addition to attending. Arrange meals for monthly Faculty Meetings and in-service professional days. Monitor supply levels of and purchase student snacks, office supplies, classroomsupplies and art supplies. Provide support to Resource and Room Parents, and Spring Social Chairpersonswhen needed. Create and maintain personnel, substitute and student files throughout the schoolyear. Keep track of fire drill dates in charts and assist during fire drills. Maintain firedrill bag. Assist in classrooms as needed.RequirementsCandidates need to be passionate about thevalue of play-based learning for young children.
